DISTRICT ATTORNEY JACKIE LACEY CELEBRATES LAW DAY WITH THE PBA!

|

We were very fortunate to have Jackie Lacey, the Los Angeles County District Attorney, as our guest speaker for the 2013 PBA Law Day luncheon, held on May 9th, at the Gold Room of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

s. Lacey spoke about the numerous challenges and responsibilities that she faces while running the largest prosecutorial office in our country.

Prior to Ms. Lacey addressing our Association, the two finalists from our Speech Scholarship Contest squared off on stage. Jessica Demasi, a senior from Maranatha High School too first place and was awarded a $5,000 scholarship. The second place winner, Abel DeCastro, a junior from Arcadia High School, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship.

At the end of the event, District Attorney Lacey, Pasadena Mayor Bogaard, and Superior Court Judge Croft took part of the awards ceremony

The Pasadena Bar Association is very grateful to all the members who participated in this event and especially to our Exclusive Sponsors for making this wonderful community outreach program possible.
