In addition to seeking divorce advice in Pasadena, Real Housewives of Orange County star Simon Barney should call a criminal attorney as soon as possible. This week, Barney was arrested by Orange County sheriffs when he threw a dog leash at ex-wife Tamra Barney. On par with the couple's long history of drama, this latest incident went down as the pair prepares to go to court to sort out their very public divorce.
According to authorities, Simon arrived at his ex-wife's home late on September 20 to return the dog the pair shares custody of. Things got heated between the reality stars as a war of words erupted. The argument centered around Tamra planning a birthday party for one of their children at her house rather than at a neutral location. Simon lost his temper and allegedly threw a retractable dog leash, hitting Tamra's wrist. With their children inside crying, Tamra then called the police. Simon was arrested by the Orange County sheriff's department at 12:30 am. He was taken into custody and held on $10,000 bail. He claims the leash flew out of his hand by accident while his ex-wife told authorities her ex was "out of control." Simon is scheduled for arraignment next week.
Viewers of Bravo's Real Housewives of Orange County are familiar with the crumbling of the marriage between Simon and Tamra Barney. The pair, which joined the cast in 2007, has bickered on-air over finances, jealousy and child raising differences. So it was of little surprise when Simon filed for divorce last year; still, allegations of his wife's infidelity created headlines. Tamra and Simon were married for 15 years and have three children together. Tamra has a son from a previous marriage, Ryan, whose tempestuous relationship with Simon was the cause of friction between her and Simon.
