We are thrilled to announce that our senior law clerks, Cynthia Aceves and Rain Yekikian, have officially passed the California Bar Exam. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in their legal careers and a proud moment for everyone at the Schweitzer Law Partners.

Cynthia Aceves

Cynthia earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School, where she distinguished herself through academic excellence. During her time in law school, Cynthia served as a Dean’s Fellow where she mentored first-year law students and participated as a certified law clerk in the Children’s Rights Clinic. She was also a recipient of the Public Interest Law Committee Summer Grant and worked with the Lanterman Regional Center Special Education Clinic, helping underserved communities navigate challenging legal issues in special education law. Cynthia earned her MBA in Marketing Management & Entrepreneurship, and her bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles (LMU). Ms Aceves is also a fluent Spanish speaker.

Rain Yekikian

Rain earned her Juris Doctor degree from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), graduating magna cum laude and receiving the honor of Order of the Coif. During her time in law school, Rain dedicated her studies to family law. Prior to joining the firm, Rain served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Michael Bishay, Supervising Judge of the Alameda County Family Law Division. Rain also served as the External Vice President of the Family Law Student Association and the Executive Productions Editor of the UC Law SF Communications and Entertainment Journal. Further, she spent one year participating in the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors Clinic on campus, working with underserved elderly clients to prepare estate planning materials, before becoming a student mentor. Prior to attending law school, Rain earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Professional Writing from UC Davis, with high honors. Much of Rain’s academic career has focused on aiding families and individuals navigating challenging times and she is excited to put this experience into practice moving forward.

We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments and are excited to see their continued growth as they begin their careers as attorneys. Congratulations Cynthia and Rain on this incredible achievement!
