"How soon should I wait to date after my divorce?" is one of the top questions family attorneys in Pasadena hear from their clients. While there's no specific, magic number, a good rule of thumb is to give yourself several months to heal before going back into the dating pool. For Kim Kardashian, that magic number of months happens to be six. Despite telling reporters that she had no plans to start dating anytime soon, the reality star is reportedly dating rapper Kanye West after her October breakup from NBA star Kris Humphries.
People magazine reported last week that the pair had been spotted all over New York City with one another and that Kardashian was seen leaving West's apartment. In one instance, Kardashian, who was in town last week guest hosting for the TODAY show, took in a showing of The Hunger Games at a Manhattan movie theatre with West.
"Kim and Kanye have now just started dating," a source close to the couple tells People. Apparently they are only casually dating and "seeing where it goes," according to the source.
West and Kardashian have been friends for a number of years. West has even appeared on the hit cable show "Keeping up with the Kardashians." West's new single, "Theraflu," even makes reference to Kardashian. "I admit I fell in love with Kim ... 'Round the same time she fell in love with him," West sings. The "him" in question, speculate gossip columnists, is Kardashian's ex Kris Humphries. Neither star has yet to comment on the nature of their relationship.
Kardashian was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 before being married to Humphries for seven months in 2011. West has never been married but has previously been romantically linked to designer Alexis Phifer and model Amber Rose.
